Grief & Loss Counseling

Grief & Loss Counseling

Grief can affect every part of your life. You may feel deep sadness, anger, guilt, confusion, numbness, or even relief. Some days may feel manageable, while others bring emotions you did not expect. Loss can also affect your relationships, routines, sense of identity, and the way you imagine your future. Grief counseling gives you a safe place to talk honestly about your loss and what it has changed. Your counselor will sit with you in the pain, listen without rushing you, and help you make sense of what you are experiencing. There is no single way to grieve, and you do not have to move through it alone.

Complimentary consultation: 15 minutes with a counselor.

How We Help

  • Create a safe place to talk honestly about your loss
  • Help you understand the emotions and changes grief may bring
  • Support you through difficult memories, decisions, and transitions
  • Walk with you as you begin adjusting to life after loss

A meaningful place to begin

Your grief does not have to follow someone else’s timeline.

People may expect you to feel better, move forward, or return to normal before you are ready. You may also place those expectations on yourself. Grief does not move in a straight line, and there is no correct amount of time for it to take.

Counseling provides space for your grief to be acknowledged without judgment or pressure. Your counselor will help you understand what you are feeling, care for yourself through difficult moments, and begin finding ways to live with what has changed.

Our approach

Care that respects your loss, your story, and your way of grieving.

We understand that every loss is different. Your counselor will take time to understand who or what you lost, how that loss has affected you, and what you need during this season.

Your counselor will work with you to determine what will be most helpful moving forward, using evidence-based approaches that fit your experience and needs. This may include processing difficult emotions, working through guilt or unanswered questions, caring for your body during grief, and rebuilding connection and meaning.

The purpose is not to help you forget or move on from someone or something that mattered. It is to support you as you learn to carry the loss and continue living in a way that honors both your grief and your life.
