Stress & Burnout Counseling

Stress & Burnout Counseling

Stress can build slowly until you realize you are no longer functioning or feeling like yourself. You may be carrying pressure from work, family, caregiving, finances, relationships, or responsibilities that never seem to stop. Over time, you may feel exhausted, irritable, disconnected, resentful, or unable to give anything more. Stress and burnout can affect anyone, but they are especially common among people who spend much of their lives caring for, serving, leading, or responding to the needs of others. Ministry leaders, educators, healthcare workers, first responders, parents, caregivers, nonprofit professionals, and community leaders are often the people others depend on. When so much of your attention is focused on caring for others, it can be difficult to recognize how much you are carrying yourself. Stress and burnout counseling gives you a safe place to identify and be honest about the weight you have been carrying. Your counselor will take time to care for you, understand the pressures, expectations, and patterns contributing to your exhaustion, and support you as you begin finding healthier and more sustainable ways to move forward.

Complimentary consultation: 15 minutes with a counselor.

A meaningful place to begin

A place to receive care when you have been carrying too much.

When you are the person others depend on, it can feel difficult to admit that you are tired, overwhelmed, or struggling. You may feel responsible for staying strong, continuing to serve, and meeting the needs in front of you, even when you have little left to give.

Counseling gives you a place where you do not have to be the helper. You can slow down, be honest about what you are carrying, and receive care without feeling responsible for anyone else in the room. Your counselor will sit with you, help you recognize what has been taking so much from you, and support you as you begin making changes that are realistic for your life.

Our approach

Caring for you as you continue caring for others.

We understand that caring for others may be deeply connected to your work, faith, calling, family, or sense of purpose. The goal is not to separate you from what matters to you. It is to help you care for yourself in ways that allow you to continue serving without losing yourself in the process.

Your counselor will take time to understand your responsibilities, relationships, expectations, and the pressures affecting your daily life. Together, you will determine what will be most helpful moving forward. This may include building healthier boundaries, managing stress responses, processing difficult experiences, communicating your needs, and reconnecting with the people and practices that restore you.

The work focuses on helping you move beyond simply getting through each day and begin building a way of living that feels healthier and more sustainable.
